Job Description

Bulgarr Ngaru Medical Aboriginal Corporation (BNMAC) is a Community Controlled Health Organisation that delivers coordinated and comprehensive primary health care services with a focus on reducing chronic diseases within the Indigenous community. We are seeking a motivated and experienced **Practice Manager** to lead and manage our clinic operations in Grafton.

Position Overview:

As the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of primary health care services across BNMAC clinics. The role covers areas such as business planning, administration, financial management, and leadership. You will also oversee health service quality and safety, fostering a positive team environment, and ensuring the clinic operates smoothly on a daily basis.

This role requires superior communication skills, as you will liaise with internal and external stakeholders and provide support to the executive management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the BNMAC clinic
  • Manage business planning, financial performance, and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Lead and develop staff, ensuring a positive and collaborative work culture
  • Maintain effective communication with executive management and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the clinic meets health service quality and safety standards

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in management and/or high-level practice administration
  • Understanding of medical terminology and healthcare stakeholder management
  • Strong people management skills
  • Relevant security clearances, including National Police Check and NSW Working With Children Check
  • Full working rights in Australia
  • Current NSW Driver’s License (or ability to obtain)
  • CPR training within the past three years
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Desired Criteria:

  • Understanding of the Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS)
  • Experience with general practice accreditation and standards
  • Familiarity with Pracsoft or similar clinical software
  • Tertiary qualification in Health Science, Health Administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations
