About the role:

Kempsey District Hospital is expanding our team of 3.5 GP-Obstetric VMOs. Come and work in a terrific low-moderate risk Maternity service (NSW level 3 plus), which cares for 240-270 birthing women each year.

You will be well supported by a wonderful group of midwives, your GP-Obstetric colleagues, and our nearest Base Hospital 40 minutes away in Port Macquarie. You will be able to utilise your procedural skills in performing elective and emergency caesarean sections, and curettes.

You will be participating in an on-call roster (currently 1:5), supported by NSW Health funded locums where needed.

About the region: 

You will be working in the Macleay Valley, Dunghutti country, home of the beautiful beach communities of South West Rocks, Hat Head and Crescent Head, the villages of Gladstone and Willawarrin. With rainforest, waterfall, National parks of Werrikimbe, Oxley Wild Rivers, and the Macleay River nearby there is plenty to explore on your days off.
