Oberon Medical Centre is a well-established General Practice, located in Oberon, NSW 2787, MMM5 Location.
Due to the recent increase in new and returning patients, friendly family practice looking for three new suitable qualified doctors including at least one female General Practitioner to add to our team.
We offer mixed billing in a patient-centered care environment. Our patients range from families, the elderly and professionals, with Work-Cover, pre-employment work.

Our Team:
we have a friendly supportive team environment with 5 Permanent Doctors, 3 Registrars, 3 Receptionists, 2 experienced Practice Nurses, and Visiting Allied Health Professionals. We are currently looking for a Part-time/Full-time GPs to join our fully accredited modern state-of-the-art purpose-built, computerised practice.

The Position:
– The position may include VMO and on-call coverage of Oberon Hospital which has 8 acute, 8 long stay, and 3 accident & emergency beds. Obstetric, anaesthetic, and procedural skills are not required.
– Sessions are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5.30 pm, and Saturday from 9am to 5pm.
– Closed Sunday and Public Holidays.
– One day off per week and 6 weeks of Annual leave.

Responsibilities and expected Skills include
– Provide primary care as per Australian General Practice Standards
– Preventive care Screening for Cardiovascular & Cancer
– As a rural practice, having skills to identify acute medical issues, and sick patients
– Skills and training in Emergency medicine
– Aged care or nursing home visits
– Home visits
– Hospital on-call responsibilities [ED and in-patient care]
– ECG interpretation
– Basic medical diagnosis of Respiratory disease, diabetes, Hypertension
– Identifying red flags based on clinical history and observation findings
– Current ALS certificate

To be eligible you must be:
VR GP with AHPRA General Registration, unrestricted work rights and currently living in Australia

If you are an IMG, you need to have current General Registration with AHPRA who is eligible for the MDRAP program or willing to go through PEPSCI pathway to obtain limited registration with AHPRA
