Gloucester is the closest town for adventures in the Barrington Tops. It sits in its own valley at the junction of three rivers and is only 3 hours to Sydney, 1.5 hours to Newcastle (less to Newcastle Airport) and just under an hour to the pristine beaches of Forster. Outdoor and sporting activities are Gloucesters speciality along with popular cafes, pub bistros with excellent dining and three licensed clubs for drinks with friends. There are preschools, primary and secondary schools.

This vibrant and tight knit community is serviced by a modern, purpose-built medical facility which is home to 6 doctors (and on the lookout for more) who also provide care to the local primary care unit. Our medical centre employs friendly and experienced nursing and reception staff who are committed to providing the very best quality care to the community. We also have available at the practice many other health practitioners including audiology, dietetics, clinical psychology, podiatry, general surgery, exercise physiology, physiotherapy, pathology.
We are a teaching practice for medical students, GP registrars and international medical graduates. Our hospital is supported by a JMO who also attends the general practice clinic.

Our 14 bed (and three emergency bed) hospital is serviced by our local general practitioners who enjoy a rotational roster ensuring 24 hour a day care to the residents of the community. Visiting specialists operate from the theatre space here and our GP Anaesthetists provide support to these specialists. We care for the residents of the local 44 bed aged care facility.
