Tumut is located in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains. There is access to many water skiing, bush walking, fishing, snow skiing and Wagga a major inland city is on 1 hour away and Canberra 2 hours away.
Fitzroy Medical Centre seeks a VR GP (FRACGP, FACRRM) to join our team. Fellowed or VRed doctors who are subject to the moratorium are eligible to apply. Negotiable remuneration.
The practice is fully computerised and accredited with GPA, currently uses Best Practice Software and we have 3.5 full time Drs working at the surgery.
Tumut Hospital provides emergency, medical, surgical, and maternity services for the surrounding communities. A full range of community health services including community nursing, allied health and mental health services are also delivered by the local team.
Tumut has many sports available including Basketball, Rugby Union, League, Soccer, Hockey, Netball to name a few.
There is 1 private school and 3 public schools.
