What you’ll be doing
Provide contemporary comprehensive specialist services for optimal patient outcomes. Provide and support training to clinicians across multiple disciplines for quality education and safe clinical practice.
Southern NSW Local Health District will employ you. The position is primarily located at the facility applied for. Secondary appointments within other facilities may occur by mutual agreement.
The position will be allocated to both Batemans Bay and Moruya Hospitals with 2 Clinical shifts and 2 ED Director shifts per week.
Qualifications
Selection Criteria
1. Evidence of registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Emergency Medicine and Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Emergency Medicine.
2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team
3. Demonstrated personal qualities of clinical leadership including excellent communication skills, time management, negotiation skills, team building and ability to undertake basic workforce management functions such as performance management.
4. Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
5. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
6. Demonstrated skills and attitudes appropriate as a Senior Medical Practitioner including modelling a high standard of professional behaviour to junior medical staff.
7. Demonstrated knowledge, skills and high standards of clinical practice in Emergency Medicine commensurate to experience which is appropriate to the requirements of the position.
8. Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
9. Personal integrity and commitment to the CORE values of NSW Health.
