This full time permanent position for up to two doctors is available at Culburra Beach Medical Centre. We are two and a half hours south of Sydney and  two and a half hours east of Canberra on the beautiful white sandy beaches of Jervis Bay.

Our practice has grown steadily over the last 20 years and we are ready to expand again. Our practice has remained strong and viable through this past turbulent year, our patient numbers have not been affected by COVID, we have adapted and the practice has thrived. The demand for another GP in the area has also been due to the closure of the only other GP practice in Culburra Beach

Our new GP will be fully registered, if not a fellow then committed towards studying for their fellowship exams. We have a thorough induction process and training and mentoring is provided.

The doctor will be required to assess, plan, treat and evaluate all categories of patients from the neonate to the elderly using research based medicine. Clinical situations that can be anticipated encompass the broadest clinical contingencies including paediatrics, gastroenterology, care of the elderly, gynaecology, dermatology, antenatal care, emergency medicine, cardiovascular and respiratory medicine, mental health and ophthalmology.

Obstetric care is not necessary though most GPs in the practice see mothers for antenatal and postnatal care. Some clinical knowledge in Obstetrics is desirable and can be built upon during a career in general practice.

Some knowledge of Mental Health is preferred as mental health forms a significant role in any GP practice nowadays. Again training and mentoring is provided with access to our credentialed mental health nurses for support and a team of psychiatrists who we work with closely.
