General Practitioner | COOMA

We are a vibrant rural general practice which provides services to the local Cooma Hospital ED and wards under the NSW Rural Doctors Settlement Package and also a sessional rate for work in ED. Our practice is looking for a keen rural GP to join our team. We have great patients who really appreciate the work we do. We have 11 Doctors who work a variety of hours to suit their needs. What, a practice with 11 Doctors in the country?? That’s right, we can cover holidays, patients can get an appointment within days or a short consult on the day. We start seeing patients anywhere from 8:30am – 10am in the morning up until 5:30pm Monday to Friday.
When we go to rural doctor conferences and hear other doctors talk about how depressed they are, how they would never let their kids do medicine, we cant understand it. Why work from 7am to 8pm every day? We believe that if Doctors are happy they will stay in town and keep working, and most do.
We are a teaching practice, so we have Medical Students and Registrars here.

We have a number of GP obstetricians in town, and can provide support to new GP Obstetricians entering the area.
